Businesses and organizations are integrating new technologies to keep up with their competition. They are hiring experts to meet this growing need. If you are looking for a career in computers, Kirtland can help you find it.   

Areas of specialization and computer-related jobs are evolving. As a computer expert, you may find yourself working in one of two major areas: computer information systems or computer science. Jobs you might find include:

Regardless of your course of study, you’ll learn on state-of the-art computers with the most current versions of software in your computer classes at Kirtland. Instructors place all their lecture notes and supplementary materials online. They even produce educational video segments you can download on your own computer so you can watch how an instructor performs a procedure as often as you like.

Computer Information SystemsKCC’s associate degrees are designed as transfer degrees. Most jobs in the computer field require a four-year degree. If you are interested in pursuing a computer career, you should plan to eventually complete a bachelor’s degree at a four-year school.

Kirtland constantly is adding new articulation/transfer agreements, to help guarantee that you will be able to transfer into a four-year college or university as a junior without having to repeat classes or lose credits.

KCC will teach you the latest computer technologies and give you the expertise that will lead to a solid career in this growing field.
