If you have the power to deliver electricity, you can work almost anywhere on the planet.

Skilled, well-trained electricians are needed in your neighborhood, your community — and abroad. Quality of life is greatly enhanced by people in the electrical trades.

When you complete Kirtland’s electrical technology training at the M-TEC facility in Gaylord, you could use your skills close to home in a residential, commercial or industrial setting — even on an overseas service project (if you’re so inclined).

Your training in electrical technology at Kirtland’s M-TEC site begins in a unique classroom where interactive computers and textbooks are combined with the FLEX schedule. Computer-administered tests let you advance at your own pace, whenever it is convenient for you. As you move through the program’s five levels of training, you’ll realize you made the decision of a lifetime.

The hours you spend on your associate’s degree
transfer to most four-year universities
are fully accepted by the State of Michigan and
count as credit toward your apprenticeship hours with the licensing board

Kirtland’s electrical technology instructors at the M-TEC are experienced, industry-trained electrical engineers or master electricians with experience in all applications. They will share their experience during your training and guide you through the program, whether you pursue an associate of science transfer degree or a certificate of completion.

The structures of the future will forever increase the need for power. You could be a highly skilled electrician that meets that demand and propel yourself toward a bright and fulfilling future.
