You will have the ability to choose from a variety of jobs in the nursing profession when you complete Kirtland’s Nursing Degree program. With a degree from one of the best Nursing Colleges in Michigan, you will be employable in almost any community you choose to live in throughout your lifetime.
Kirtland’s Registered Nurse and Practical Nurse programs offers:
- full-time and part-time courses at our main campus near Roscommon
- supervised hands-on patient care in area health care facilities
- a Practical Nursing outreach program at our M-TEC facility in Gaylord
Kirtland’s nursing curriculum is based on the ladder concept. The practical nursing program is the foundation for the program.
You may elect to exit from the program after you complete Practical Nursing Level I curriculum and receive a practical nursing certificate or complete the Registered Nursing Level II curriculum for your associate’s degree. With Kirtland's first-rate Nursing Degrees in Michigan, you will be ready to pass the state exam and be certified as either a licensed practical nurse or a registered nurse.
Kirtland also gives you transfer opportunities from other practical nursing programs. You may begin as an LPN and return to Kirtland to obtain your associate’s degree and become an RN.

The nursing curriculum at Kirtland is based on the ladder concept in nursing education. It offers students alternative educational tracks, according to their career goals. The practical nursing program serves as the foundation for the associate degree in nursing program. A student may elect to exit from the program after successful completion of the first year (Level I) curriculum and be awarded a practical nursing certificate, or complete both the first and second year (Level II) curriculums and be awarded an associate in applied science degree.
