Changes in technology and safety rules demand you grab some education and training even if you are good with your hands.

The ability to build, maintain and fix the physical pieces that impact the quality of life will make you a more valuable employee or business owner.

Kirtland Community College’s Construction Technology and Industrial Technology programs have lots of options to make you a:

  • welder
  • millwright
  • pipe-fitter
  • electrician
  • engine repair technician
  • electrical engineer
  • master electrician or
  • heating, ventilation, A/C and refrigeration expert

You’ll learn the skills you need to succeed in any of these challenging and rewarding careers by choosing one of KCC’s Construction or Industrial Technology programs, held at the M-TEC site in Gaylord.

You’ll be trained by Kirtland instructors that will share decades of combined real-world experience with you. Most still work in the field and represent licensed experts in every area of the trades including:

  • electrical technology
  • HVAC/R
  • industrial maintenance
  • welding and fabricating

Kirtland’s technology programs are designed to support you regardless of where you are on your career path. KCC’s curriculum will allow you to earn a certificate in about a year, prepare you to eventually complete a bachelor's degree or help you transfer in from another college.

Kirtland offers you the opportunity to have a well-rounded education in the building trades. You will be prepared to pursue an in-demand job or a more specialized curriculum that could lead you a career that lasts a lifetime.
