For Presidential Search Interview with Dr. Larry Ort

April 24, 2007

CALL TO ORDER

Vice Chair Roy Spangler called the meeting to order at 1:59 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL

Members Present:      Roy Spangler, Richard Silverman, Denis Weiss, Roberta Werle

Members Absent:        Robert Bovee, Sally Galer, Patricia Webb

Others Present:          Mark Burger, Jo Ann Comerford, Carol Finke, Detmar Finke, Kathy Koch, Kathy Marsh, Dr. Larry Ort, Judy Ort, Tim Scherer, Dale Shantz

WELCOME

Members and guests were welcomed by Vice Chair Roy Spangler.

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE INTERVIEW

Dr. Ort was introduced by Dale Shantz, Human Resources Director, who facilitated the interview. 

A break was declared from 3:02 to 3:27 p.m.

Each board member offered questions of the candidate in addition to the prepared questions posed by Dale Shantz. The final discussion of the interview provided an opportunity for the candidate to ask questions of the board.

OPEN DISCUSSION

Detmar Finke commented that we have various communities within our district. He asked how the candidate would involve himself in those communities.

ADJOURNMENT

The meeting was declared adjourned at 5:02 p.m. to be followed by an informal dinner with the candidate.
