Members and guests were welcomed by Chair Jan Keith Farmer, who turned the evening’s event over to Dr.  George Potter.

WORKSHOP

Dr. Potter, trustee from Jackson Community College, presented a workshop titled, “Board of Trustees’

Authority and Responsibility.”

The workshop included reference materials, recommended reading, handouts and a PowerPoint presentation.  He identified ten principles that, if adhered to, result in truly  good boards.  Audience interaction was received with question and answer opportunities throughout the presentation.

The workshop concluded at 9:25 p.m.
