Republican Candidate for Office Seeking Campaign Staffer

A local Republican candidate for Michigan’s 103rd House District; which includes Crawford, Kalkaska, Missaukee, Ogemaw, and Roscommon counties, is seeking a political campaign staffer.

An ideal applicant will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to solve tough problems, follow directions, be proficient with a computer and smart phone, be highly responsive, and have knowledge of the district.  Prior political campaign experience is not required.

Applicants must have their own vehicle for transportation, be willing to attend meetings with candidate in Lansing, work out of a campaign office in the West Branch area, participate in weekly conference calls, and generally have flexibility.  Applicants should be friendly, courteous, presentable, and approachable. The applicant must be willing to commit to staying with the campaign from the date of hire through the election in August 2016, potentially through November 2016.

Roscommon County MSU Extension Secretary

Roscommon County is accepting resumes for the part-time position of MSU Extension Office Secretary. This position will work 20 hours per week. The MSU Extension Office Secretary is a county employee who works under the supervision of the MSU Extension Director, assisting with various customer service and clerical duties that support the mission of the MSU Extension Program. U of M Community College Summer Paid Research Fellowship Program

The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) at the University of Michigan, offers a 10 week paid Summer Research Fellowship for community college students interested in transferring to UM–Ann Arbor in the future. Opportunities available in a wide variety of fields (social sciences, arts and humanities, health sciences, engineering, environmental studies, etc.)

The Program Seeks to Attract a Diverse Student Population, including Women and Historically Underrepresented Students, First Generation College Students, Students from Low Income Backgrounds, and Veterans.

Research Projects are available in the following fields: Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering, Health Sciences, Physical, or Natural and Environmental Sciences. 

Students will work 25-40 hours per week depending on the research project and field. This fellowship runs from June 1, 2015 through August 7, 2015. Housing stipends are available for students who live outside of Wayne and Washtenaw counties.

Who is qualified?
