Kirtland to Benefit from Skilled Trades Grant Award

This medical simulation trainer is presently used by nursing students to prepare for real life medical situations, such as administering proper treatment in a simulated Ebola outbreak. The CCSTEP grant provides funds for the addition of new, state-of-the-art training equipment for several skilled trades programs at Kirtland.

Governor Snyder announced Tuesday $50 million in awards to 18 community colleges across the state as part of the new Community College Skilled Trades Equipment Program (CCSTEP), an effort to build capacity and meet the training demand for good-paying jobs in skilled trades. Kirtland Offers Concealed Pistol Class

Kirtland will hold a concealed pistol license class on the Roscommon campus on Feb 27-28.

Kirtland Community College is offering a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) class on Feb. 27-28.
