2011 Gerrish-Higgins/Roscommon Alumni Association Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for returning Kirtland students who graduated from Roscommon High School. Parent, grandparent, or legal guardian must also have attended Gerrish-Higgins/Roscommon High School.

Transfer Scholarships
Scholarships for Community College Transfer Students - University of Michigan
Michigan Community College Scholarship, a one-time scholarship award of $1,500
and
The Michigan Community College Scholar Award, a renewable, annual award of $5,000 for students who have participated in honor societies, co-curricular activities and volunteer or community service activities. Consideration is also given to students who have demonstrated other challenges or need. (Students may receive $2,500 per term for up to a maximum of five terms.)
All Michigan community college students entering U-M in the fall or winter terms are considered for both the Community College Scholarship and the Michigan Community College Scholar Award through the U-M Office of Financial Aid.
Western Michigan University 2012 Transfer Scholarships, available to Michigan community college transfer students.
Primary transfer scholarships
- Transfer Scholarship for Achievement: $1,000 for the 2012-13 academic year
- Requires a 3.25 -3.49 GPA in transferable courses and completion of at least 26 transferable credit hours.
- Available to students entering any time in 2012 (not exclusive to fall entry students), but disbursed starting with fall 2012 semester.
- Most recent work completed must be from a Michigan community college.
- No scholarship application required.
- Must enroll as a full time student (12 or more credit hours a semester)
- Transfer Academic Scholarship: $3,000 ($1,500/year)
- Requires minimum GPA of 3.5 in transferable courses and completion of at least 26 transferable credit hours by August 1 st deadline.
- Most recent work completed must be from a Michigan community college.
- No scholarship application required.
- Awarded four semesters (fall/spring) or until graduation, whichever comes first. Subject to maintenance criteria.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (fall/spring)
- Replaces Transfer Scholarship for Achievement for qualifying students.
- Metro Detroit Transfer Scholarship: $1,000 for the 2012-13 academic year
- For students transferring from Henry Ford CC, Macomb CC, Oakland CC, Schoolcraft College, or Wayne County CC. Transfer College is determined by the most recent, completed transfer work completed at the time of application.
- Must have completed at least 26 transferable credit hours by August 1 st deadline.
- Minimum transferable course GPA of 3.00
- May be combined with the Transfer Scholarship for Achievement or the Transfer Academic Scholarship (see requirements above)
- Available to students entering any time in 2012 (not exclusive to fall entry students), but disbursed starting with fall 2012 semester.
- Must enroll as a full time student (12 or more credit hours a semester)
- No scholarship application required.
Competitive transfer scholarships (Recipients may receive only one of the following.)
- Distinguished Community College Scholars Award : $6,500 ($3,250/year)
- Requires a minimum 3.75 GPA and completion of an associate's degree before entering WMU.
- Requires membership in WMU’s Lee Honors College
- Awarded to 20 students selected by the Transfer Scholarship Committee
- Must have completed at least 26 transferrable credit hours by the March 1 st deadline.
- Most recent work completed must be from a Michigan community college
- Community College President's Scholarship : $5,000 ($2,500/year)
- Requires a minimum 3.5 transferable GPA
- Awarded to 20 students selected by the Transfer Scholarship Committee
- Must have completed at least 26 transferable credit hours by the March 1 st deadline.
- Most recent work completed must be from a Michigan community college
- Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Scholarship: $4,500 ($2,250/year)
- Requires a minimum 3.5 transferable GPA
- Requires Phi Theta Kappa membership in good standing for consideration.
- Awarded to one student per Phi Theta Kappa Chapter
- Must have completed at least 26 transferrable credit hours by the March 1 st deadline.
- Most recent work completed must be from a Michigan community college.

Aquinas Community College Honors Scholarship
This scholarship is for traditional age students willing to transfer to Aquinas College. GPA requirement of 3.5 or higher.

2011-2012 National Association of Pro-Life Nurses (NAPN) Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for nursing students enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing in the fall, winter or spring of the 2011-2012 school year, including full time or part time. Selection criteria includes student's essay, academic achievements, demonstration of leadership, and participation in pro-life activities.

2012 Nursing Student Scholarship - Sponsored by Michigan League of Nursing
This scholarship is intended for nursing students currently enrolled in a Licensed Practical Nurse, Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree Nursing education program and must have successfully completed at least one nursing course with a clinical component. Successful completion is defined as a grade of a ("C") or better.

2012-2013 TravelNursing.org Nursing Education Scholarship
This bi-annual scholarship is to benefit any High School Senior Currently applying for college, nursing school or medical vocational or technical training school or current college undergraduate in a premedical, nursing, or medical technician program. Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA based on the previous year's academic performance.

The Sell Used Books College Scholarship
This $1000 scholarship is for college or university students 18 and older who are legal residents of the United States. Submit a 300-500 word essay to the topic "Why I deserve this scholarship".

2012 James W. Phelan Scholarship
This scholarship was established to provide assistance to Michigan residents in their junior or senior year of college and attending a Michigan college or university. Applicants in the following fields will be considered: Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Banking, or General Business. These $750 scholarships will not be based on financial need. Applicants must be traditional full time students or non-traditional adult students attending either full or part time, be entering their junior or senior year of college, and have a 2.8 or better grade point average.

2012-2013 Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who are employed or his/her parent (s) are employed at a business that is a member of MRA. To find out if a particular business is an MRA member, students or parents should check with their employer or call MRA's Laura Schilling at 800-366-3699. Applicants are encouraged to apply online through the MRA's website or call MRA for an application. Applications must be requested by March 15, 2012.

2012-2013 Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
This scholarship is intended for high school seniors or graduates or are current undergraduate students which plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate study at an accredited U.S. four-year college or university for the entire 2012-2013 academic year (excluding proprietary and online schools). Students must plan to major in a specified course of study that focuses on Engineering/Technology or select Design and Business related programs. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States and be interested in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industry.
