Giving Opportunities
In
October 2001, the Kirtland Foundation
unveiled its Tree of Life, a beautiful, large sculptured wall mounting
with hundreds of golden leaves, many of which carry the names of
Foundation donors from the past to present day. The
Tree of Life is on
display in the
Performing Arts Center where thousands of people will see it in the
years to come. Beneath the Tree of Life are several boulders, also
reserved for those who give. Perhaps your name will soon be on a leaf or
boulder.

GIVING OPTIONS
Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts give the Foundation the most flexibility because
they can be used to support programs or priorities at the college that
have the greatest need. Unrestricted gifts are a priority because they
have a very positive impact on the college's financial situation.
Restricted Gifts
You may have a program or an area of interest that is special
to you. You may make a gift that will be used exclusively for the
purpose(s) you designate. The Foundation maintains an Enhancements List
("wish list") of projects and equipment needs that would make a positive
impact on a particular program. Perhaps there is something on the
Enhancement List that would interest you. Contributions can be
designated toward a specific enhancement. If not all funds are raised to
purchase a specific enhancement this year, they will be carried over
until enough contributions are received to purchase that enhancement. A
general contribution to the campaign can also be made.
Scholarships
Demand is always increasing for scholarship assistance.
Cultural Enrichment
As an institution of higher learning, Kirtland tries very hard to
provide worthwhile cultural opportunities for students, staff, and for
citizens who live in the region. Enrichment programs in music, theatre,
youth theatre, and the arts are encouraged by gifts to the Foundation
earmarked for these very meaningful activities.
