Instructional Designer

Title III grant funded position supporting online education by assisting with the development of online programs and courses.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Be a member of a team supporting online education

Incorporate AQIP principles of continuous improvement into job performance

Assist faculty with development of appropriate instructional technologies and pedagogy in online courses

Assist faculty in developing online programs and courses

Recruit faculty for professional development cohorts

Coordinate and lead collaborative professional development training for cohorts

Coordinate additional all-faculty professional development opportunities

Coordinate faculty review of programs and courses

Work with a team of peers in the development of online student services

Adhere to timelines in the production of online programs

Assess progress in developing quality online courses

Become familiar with, and perform all duties as outlined in the Title III grant

Assist the Title III Project Director in meeting reporting requirements

Performs other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the dean of instruction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Curriculum Design, Online Education, Educational Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Experience as an instructional faculty member in higher education, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position
  • Experience designing online and hybrid curriculum
  • Experience administering complex projects and monitoring budgets
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals in an academic setting
