Kirtland Community College (Kirtland), in partnership with Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC), will host an informational session on its main campus near Roscommon designed to help persons interested in radiography learn more about this exciting career field.
John Skinner, director of radiography at MMCC in Harrison, will explain the program and answer questions at an information meeting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 in Room 5 of Kirtland’s Instructional Center (INS).
The radiography program is a collaborative effort offered by Kirtland and MMCC, enabling graduates to obtain an associate’s degree in applied science. The program is designed to prepare graduates to function as members of the health team in hospitals, clinics, government and military installations, industry and public health. In addition to classroom instruction and laboratory practice, students receive on-the-job practical education at Grayling Mercy Hospital or West Branch Regional Medical Center.
