Kirtland Community College (Kirtland) is presenting the “Explore Your Future” Homeschooler’s Event on Tuesday, October 18 from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Kirtland’s main campus near Roscommon. This event is geared toward students in grades 7-12 who are presently receiving their education through homeschooling.
Students and their parents are invited to learn about dual enrollment, general college admission, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and will have the opportunity to experience the college classroom setting firsthand. Attendees will visit one of Kirtland’s state-of-the-art active learning classrooms, experiment in the chemistry lab and observe a college class while in session. Following these activities, visitors will tour the beautiful Roscommon campus, enjoy lunch and be eligible for prize giveaways.
Questions can be directed to Marianne Kuzimski, student recruitment specialist, at 989-275-5000 extension 258.
Annually, more than 3,000 students attend a variety of certificate and two-year degree programs at Kirtland’s three locations – near Roscommon, the M-TEC at Kirtland-Gaylord, and in West Branch. Kirtland offers a wide range of online certificate and degree programs as well, all of which can be completed from home.
