World
class entertainers SKILES AND HENDERSON began their
career in the early days of Disneyland, by making fun of their employer.
Walt Disney thought they were cool, so Bill Skiles and Pete Henderson
were chosen to host The Mickey Mouse Club International TV series as
"Hub and Bub." The year 1965 found them singing, playing drums and bass
and doing comedy with internationally known folk singing group, The New
Christy Minstrels, where they found TV exposure on prestigious programs
such as The Bell Telephone Hour and The Today Show. As SKILES AND
HENDERSON, they played Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe, sharing the
marquee with various superstars such as Andy Williams, Loretta Lynn,
Marty Robbins, Kenny Rogers, Rowan and Martin and a host of others. The
pair performed on the road with The Carpenters for five years. SKILES
AND HENDERSON have made more than 500 national TV appearances on all of
the hot shows such as The Tonight Show w/Johnny Carson, The Ed Sullivan
Show, The Merv Griffin Show, The Bob Hope Show, and were regulars on
Dean Martin’s show and The Hollywood Squares, as well as other game
shows, telethons, talk shows and variety shows.
