Personal Responsibility Statement - The Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts prides itself on offering a diverse selection of arts entertainment. Not all productions may appeal to, or be appropriate for, every person or for all ages. Therefore, patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the shows we offer in order to make informed decisions prior to purchasing tickets. Children - Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts believes the arts are for everyone; however the staff is sensitive to all patrons’ enjoyment of the events. Children under the age of 5 are encouraged only to attend the Family Priced events. Parents will be asked to remove their child/children if they are causing disruptions or unable to sit quietly. Everyone attending the performance, regardless of age, must have a ticket and an assigned seat. Child Care Available – Child care is available on event days at the Children’s Learning Center on KCC’s campus. The cost is $5 for one child or $15 for a family. To schedule this service, please call the ticket office. Objectionable Persons – A ticket is a revocable license. Therefore, Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts reserves the right to remove patrons who are disruptive or disorderly. Concessions – Snacks and beverages are available in the side lobby for most performances; however no food or beverage is allowed in the theatre. This includes water. Smoking – Smoking is strictly prohibited inside campus buildings. Theatre Opening – It is our policy to open the Theatre seating area an hour before performance time. Late rehearsals, sound/light checks or other problems may delay opening. Late Seating – For the consideration of the artists and other patrons, anyone arriving after the performance has begun will be seated only at times designated by the artist and their management. Late arriving patrons will be directed to remain in the lobby until they can be seated. Cellular Phones, Pagers & Electronic Devices – For the consideration of the artists and other patrons, cellular phones, pagers & other electronic devices must be turned off in the theatre. Please disable automatic alarms on wristwatches. Cameras & Electronic Recording Devices – Many artists have a policy prohibiting cameras. When an artist requests a “no-camera” policy, our staff is required to enforce this on behalf of the artist. If a patron will not abide by this policy, the camera will be confiscated or the patron will be removed from the theatre. When in doubt, call the Center Office at 989-275-5000 Ext. 397 prior to the performance or ask at the Lobby Ticket Office on the evening of the performance. The use of flash photography, video or sound recording devices is strictly prohibited. Lost and Found – Lost and found items will be stored at the Ticket Office through the first business day following the event. After that time, items will be transferred to the Switchboard Office in the Student Center on the campus of Kirtland Community College. |
