If you or someone you know ever has the need for quality nursing care, rest easy. This Week @ Kirtland, we’re celebrating our 42nd class of Practical Nursing gradates. In front of family, friends and the instructors who helped get them to this special night, almost 60 full- and part-time nursing students received their nursing pin and proudly took their nursing pledge.
Armed with a wealth of knowledge, compassion and a desire to truly serve others, our newest PN grads are ready and prepared to hit the workforce. Graduates and their families heard words of wisdom and inspiration from Beth Hubbard, Director of Nursing, instructor Julie McClure and fellow grads Angela Troyer and Vern Coan. Gosh…PN grad Rakesha Peters even received a wedding proposal. Talk about a big night!
It’s safe to say, this group epitomizes a quote referenced again and again last night – “When you’re a nurse you know that every day you will touch a life or a life will touch yours.” (Anonymous)
A well-deserved Congratulations! to Kirtland’s newest PN graduates. And, when the day comes that you or a loved one is receiving nursing care in some way, shape or form, take a minute to ask. I bet you just might hear, “Yes. I AM a Kirtland grad!”
