Kirtland Offers $20 Microsoft Excel Class in Houghton Lake

Kirtland Community College’s Community Education Department is partnering with the Roscommon County Commission on Aging (RCCOA) to offer Microsoft Excel 2013 to community members in Roscommon and surrounding counties.  Microsoft Excel 2013 will be offered from 1 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25 and Wednesday, November 27 at the RCCOA on 2625 South Townline Road in Houghton Lake.  The cost for the two-class session is only $20.

“We are proud to expand our Community Education computer basics course selection to add Microsoft Excel,” says Kirtland Community Education Director, Clay Horton.  “We’ve had huge success with Computer Basics, Cut/Copy/Paste and Facebook.  The addition of the Microsoft Excel class rounds the series out nicely.”

This hands-on course addresses Microsoft Excel 2013. In two sessions you will learn how to:

  • create a basic worksheet by using Microsoft Excel 2013
  • perform calculations in an Excel worksheet
  • modify an Excel worksheet
  • modify the appearance of data within a worksheet
  • manage Excel workbooks
  • print the content of an Excel worksheet

The class is offered at a pace set for adults and seniors and computers are available for all participants.  Kirtland Community Education Director Clay Horton will be the instructor and brings over 25 years of teaching experience to these classes.
