ROSCOMMON – Boys and girls entering grades kindergarten through third are invited to attend the Kirtland Dare to be Great Itty-Bitty Basketball Camp, being hosted Saturday, Nov. 5, 9 a.m.-noon, at the CRAF Center in downtown Roscommon.
Young players will learn the fundamental skills of the game – with an emphasis on “fun” – through a variety of drills and contests. Camp Director Glen Donahue has more than 50 years of coaching and playing experience, working with players of all ages.
Campers will get instruction with a four-to-one camper-to-coach ratio. Building on participants’ hand-eye skills and overall motor skills will help them enjoy and improve their basketball games, as well as other athletic activities.
Tuition ($30) includes a camp T-shirt, a list of drills for home practice and a snack midway through the morning camp.
To register by phone with a Visa or MasterCard, call the Kirtland Business Office at 989-275-5000, ext. 450, or stop by at 10775 N. St. Helen Road, Roscommon. Participants may also register at the door. For more information, call the Athletic Department at ext. 385.
