Kirtland Lady Firebirds score some serious fun at Kids’ Night
ROSCOMMON – They were bouncing off the walls during Kids’ Night, hosted by members of the Kirtland women’s basketball team on Friday, Nov. 11. The fund-raising event, held at the CRAF Center in Roscommon, attracted kids from all over for an evening of basketball, games and fun.
The smile on Erica Frye’s face says it all – two points for the Roscommon girl.
During a game of frozen tag, Nidhi Kumar, of West Branch, can only become “unfrozen” if someone scoots between her legs. Here, she gets a helping hand from Kirtland women’s basketball manager Jessie Leinaar.
Richard Lehman, of Roscommon, didn’t hesitate when asked what picture he wanted to have painted on his face – a basketball of course. Meghan Bastian, a member of the Kirtland women’s basketball team, of Hale, was happy to oblige.
Sarah Barnes, of Houghton Lake, had fun using the jump rope.
Dakota McCullough of Houghton Lake, got some hoops practice in.
