ROSCOMMON – She’s “Stuck on basketball” and she’d like other players to join her and share in the enjoyment. That’s Teresa Stuck, women’s basketball coach and athletic director at Kirtland Community College, and she’s once again hosting two three-day “Stuck on Bball Camps” for boys and girls in fourth through 12th grades.
The camps takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day at Houghton Lake High School, with a boys camp being hosted Sunday through Wednesday, June 12-14, and the girls camp taking place Thursday through Saturday, June 15-17.
All players who are interested in improving their basketball skills this summer are encouraged to participate and receive tips and practice in ball-handling, shooting and many other facets of the game.
Stuck has participated in camps all over the country and said she is excited to be able to combine the best of those experiences and offer that to local players. Her belief is that “teams are made during the season, but players are made in the off-season.”
“You will leave camp with plenty of new ideas and drills to work on in order to improve your game and take it to the next level,” Stuck said, noting that fun and learning will go hand in hand.
Registration cost is $60 before Thursday, May 25, or $70 after that or at the door. Registration forms can be picked up at area schools and many businesses, or call 989-275-5000, ext. 385, for further information.
