The Firebirds fell behind early when they could not break Owens' press. The Firebirds came out strong in the second half, but were still outscored 26-22. Leading the Firebirds were Brooke Arnold with 12 points, six rebounds and three assists. Cassie Ryckman contributed eight points, four rebounds, one block, and one assist. Brown posted an impressive time of 28:42.58 over the 8K course, finishing Nationals in 91st place out of a field of 355 total runners.
