The board of trustees, upon recommendation of the president, will select an architect or registered civil engineer for each new construction project to be developed with an estimated cost over $25,000 and when blue prints, drawings, specifications and building certification are required.
Contracts or agreements between Kirtland Community College and architect and/or construction manager shall be:
- Approved by the president for the project;
- Language of the contract reviewed and approved by the college attorney;
- Brought before the board
Competitive bids for construction will be taken according to the purchasing policy, POL 2.000.
It shall be the responsibility of the chief financial officer to coordinate and exercise overall supervision in the planning, bidding/quoting, contract letting and construction of all projects.
