For purposes of this policy, a vendor is defined as a business person or business entity who wishes to offer their products and services at Kirtland Community College.
Outside vending services, operated by independent contractors, may be allowed on all college campus when authorized by the Vice President of Business Services, after prior consultation with the President. A contract, as approved by legal counsel, shall be entered into with the vendor; terms of said contract shall be consistent with good business practices. The college reserves the right to operate its own vending services.
Items that are not allowed to be vended on campus, under any circumstances, include alcohol, drugs, firearms, or any other item not allowed on the college campus by the College/District policies and/or state and/or federal law.
The Vice President of Business Services, or his/her designee, shall act on Kirtland’s behalf to resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise in the course of implementing this policy, or in resolving any issues that are not specifically covered.
