POL 2.210 Compliance with the ADA
The Board of Trustees of Kirtland Community College requires the college to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A Compliance Officer for the Act will be designated by the college President to provide training for employees, handle inquiries and/or complaints, refer cases to a specific department within the college, and document compliance as necessary. Given the many facets of the ADA, employees throughout the college will implement procedures to follow the Act’s guidelines in their areas.
In addition to the non-discrimination requirement, the administration must adopt and publish a grievance procedure for this policy, which is an internal course of action that provides for prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging a violation of U.S. Department of Justice regulations related to the implementation of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (1973).
