Registration
It is time register for your Fall classes! Fall semester registration will be open until classes begin on August 26. Please note that registration will be open continuously, 24/7, except for several days at the end of the semester for system processing. When registering for classes, please make sure you are looking in the correct semester (2013-2014 Fall).
Fall Registration will stay open until Friday, August 23, at 4:30 p.m.
Please keep in mind; these dates are ONLY for returning students. First time students to Kirtland or transfer students must attend an OAR (orientation). For more information regarding the OAR: http://www.kirtland.edu/orientation.
Important information from the Student Financial Services Office:
Fall tuition bills are due at the beginning of August.
We want our students to have their financial aid packages in place well before the due dates, so if you have not completed the 2013-14 FAFSA, do so ASAP! The link: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
New for Fall 2013: Students receiving financial aid will be notified via KMail to log into Net Partner (single sign on menu under Sign In -> KMail) to complete required forms and to “accept” their awards. Failure to do so will result in an unpaid tuition bill.

How to register for classes (PDF)
Students who wish to graduate from Kirtland need to submit a Request to Graduate form. Upon completion of this form, a degree audit will be done on student’s academic record to ensure that all requirements have been met. Degree audits will take approximately up to two weeks to complete. A letter indicating student’s graduation status will be mailed to student’s home upon completion. In order to participate in commencement or order a diploma, student needs to fill out the third page of this form titled “Payment for Graduation.” Graduation ceremonies take place each May.

Students must submit an Application for Articulation Credit form and a copy of their high school transcript to the records office at Kirtland Community College for consideration of granting college credit after they have earned at least one credit at Kirtland. College course credit will be granted to students who have met the requirements of formal articulation agreements between the college and secondary educational institutions. College policies concerning the transferability of articulated credit vary. Students should check with the college to which they plan to transfer to determine if the articulated credit will be accepted by that college.
Currently Kirtland has articulation agreements with the following secondary educational institutions: Alcona, Boyne City, Cheboygan, COOR-ISD, Crawford-AuSable, East Jordan, Fairview, Gaylord, Gerrish-Higgins, Hale, Hillman, Houghton Lake, Huron Area Technical Center, Iosco RESA Tech Center, Johannesberg-Lewiston, Mio, Onaway, Oscoda, Vanderbilt, West Branch-Rose City, Whittemore-Prescott, and Wolverine. For further information, students should consult with their high school counselor or contact the dean or associate dean of their program.
