At Kirtland, there’s a lot of things we want you to BE.
Be HANDS ON.
Be IN HIGH DEMAND.
Be SMART WITH YOUR MONEY.
Are you thinking about college and preparing for your future? This Week @ Kirtland, we’re here to start you on your path to success. As a new student, the first thing you need to do grab an OAR. At Kirtland, an OAR is the important first step required for all new students – an Orientation, Advising and Registration session (Oh, I get it…an OAR!). And when you attend your OAR session, you’re preparing to be a successful Kirtland student.
Let’s get busy! Winter classes start on January 13th. Even though that’s “next year,” it’s closer than you think. Now’s the time to apply to Kirtland and start pursuing the career training you need — and have the skills employers in our local workforces are looking for. You’ll be skilled. You’ll be hands on. You’ll be in high demand. And because Kirtland’s tuition rates are the lowest in our region, you’ll be smart with your money. It’s a win-win proposition!
Applying for admission and registering for an OAR is done easily online at www.kirtland.edu and look for the Getting Started menu. And, applying to attend Kirtland is FREE (Yep! Another way Kirtland is helping you to be smart with your money!). Once you’re accepted, register for one of our Winter 2014 OAR dates on November 22nd, December 16th or January 7th at the Central Campus in Roscommon, or December 6th and January 8th at our Gaylord M-TEC location. Thinking about online classes or courses in West Branch or Tawas…there’s an orientation to get you off on the right foot too!
When you attend an OAR prior to starting classes, you’ll meet with variety of Kirtland experts and learn what we can do to help make your time as a student successful. Sure, an OAR includes advising and registration assistance, but you’ll also learn about our Student Success Center. Student Financial Services. Student activities and organizations. Tutoring. Even buying books and supplies at the Bookstore or a meal between classes from the Kirtland Grill. Big or little, it’s all covered in your OAR.
Let’s get busy. Apply for admission. Schedule your OAR. Prepare for your future. Once you’ve completed your OAR, you’ll be ready for college success…and you’ll Be Free to enjoy the changing seasons and holiday bustle in beautiful northern Michigan.
