DESCRIPTION:\nSeveral years ago, Dr. Randy Schaetzl of MSU, did a number of local presentations highlighting his team’s research on Glacial Lake Roscommon, which was a large, previously undocumented, lake that spread across much of Roscommon and Missaukee County during the last Ice Age. In October, Dr. Schaetzl returns to the Roscommon area to present the team’s latest research findings.\n\n\n\nIf you have an interest in learning how the landscapes of our region came to be, this talk is for you!\n\n\n\nDr. Randy Schaetzl is a Distinguished Professor of Michigan State University’s Department of Geography, Environment, and Spatial Sciences. \n
