About Coach Finney
Nile Finney, born June 1987 and Florida native, began his collegiate coaching career as the assistant head coach for Rocky Mountain College (2013-2016). During this time Finney aided his athletes and fellow coaching staff to winning a Frontier conference championship in 2015. After leaving Rocky Mountain College, Finney took on multiple coaching positions in both the National prep school and public high school levels. In which time Finney lead Skyline Prep High School to an Arizona State Championship in 2017. In 2021 Coach Finney accepted the head coaching position at Kirtland Community College, where he focuses on not only teaching fundamentals but also teaching his life skills for his players to carry on and off the court.
Prior to his career as a coach, Finney played basketball for Hawaiian Pacific University a Division two NCAA program. After freshman year Finney transferred to Rocky Mountain College where he finished his career and aided his team in winning a 2013 Frontier Conference Championship.
Nile Finney’s educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Physical Science and a Masters in Organizational Development with a Focus on Leadership from Rocky Mountain College. Finney is currently working towards his Doctorate in Occupational Development from Grand Canyon University.
