Counseling and Wellness Services

Request info CARE/BIT

Take advantage of a beneficial, no-cost service offered to current students at Kirtland Community College! Our skilled licensed counselors are committed to assisting you in managing stress and overcoming obstacles. They provide private, short-term guidance and referrals, ensuring a holistic approach to support your educational and personal development. Our Student Success Coaches are on-site and willing to aid you in achieving your goals.  If you’re encountering specific problems, contacting them might be an essential initial move toward addressing your concerns and improving your circumstances.

We offer the following student support sessions

Individual Sessions

Individual counseling sessions generally last between 45 and 50 minutes. These meetings offer a nurturing environment to discuss and address mental and emotional concerns. During these sessions, you’ll receive personalized feedback, strategies, and support from a mental health professional, working towards your specific wellness goals.

Let’s Chat Sessions

“Let’s Chat” sessions are a great option for students seeking brief, informal consultations with a counselor. Let’s Chat sessions are available Monday – Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

These sessions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so please be aware of potential wait times. They are not designed for emergencies; for urgent support, students should seek immediate assistance through emergency services or crisis intervention resources

What is Student Success Coaching?

Doing well in college takes more than good study habits. True academic success requires the development and alignment of your academic, social, and emotional selves—the whole you. That is why Kirtland Community College created Student Success Coaching, a free service that academically supports students by supporting the whole student. Success Coaches work with students to create their goals, identify barriers, and move towards academic and personal growth for a more fulfilling college experience.
