Part-Time Testing Center Specialist
Provides proctor services for the Testing Center as well as support to the instructional division of the College by assisting faculty and students in the teaching and learning process.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Coordinates scheduling for academic and regional testing services; maintains a daily log of individuals requesting and/or completing testing.
Responsible for administering ACCUPLACER placement testing.
Maintains a filing system for ACCUPLACER testing results, which includes entering results into the administrative data system and spreadsheet, as well as paper file.
Generates and submits High School Graduates Placement Reports.
Maintains a filing system for incoming and outgoing test materials.
Collects and returns make-up test materials from the faculty office area.
Monitors students prior to entering the test areas to ensure all coats, books, etc. are left at a proper location away from the test area.
Provides instructions to students as needed; ensures the security of all testing activities; maintains a quiet test area environment; enforces all test area rules.
Works with students to reinforce objectives of the course.
Documents student progress and maintains required records related to classroom and/or laboratory experience in the college and/or cooperating agencies.
Communicates with the faculty regarding student progress and other matters related to student welfare.
Ensures that adequate instructional materials are available to meet course objectives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the vice president of student services/registrar
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree
- Computer support experience preferred
- Familiarity with a variety of software typical of a post-secondary computer lab environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in an educational setting.
