Kirtland Community College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach in the Mechatronics program and/or provide contract training for industry. Content covered in this program includes electricity, pneumatics, mechanical drives, pump systems, hydraulic systems, programmable logic controllers, precision measuring tools. Emphasizes a hands-on approach to system analysis, critical thinking, and solution to open-ended problems, computer usage, and teamwork.
SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the Dean of Occupational Programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- AAS Mechatronics or AAS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Completion of apprenticeship or journeyman license as Master Electrician or Machine Repair or Millwright
- Electrician License
- Professional experience related to course content as evidenced by portfolio review.
- Teaching experience preferred
COMPENSATION – Individuals in this position will be employed by EduStaff on behalf of Kirtland Community College. This position is paid in accordance with the part-time faculty salary schedule for EduStaff employees contracted for Kirtland with an hourly rate of $39.53 per contact hour for associate’s prepared faculty. Contract rate may vary based on assignment.
