Kirtland Community College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach in the Mechatronics program. Content covered in this program includes electricity, pneumatics, mechanical drives, pump systems, hydraulic systems, programmable logic controllers, precision measuring tools. Emphasizes a hands-on approach to system analysis, critical thinking, and solution to open-ended problems, computer usage, and teamwork.
PRIMARY LOCATION – Kirtland Gaylord, 60 Livingston Blvd., Gaylord, MI 49735
SECONDARY LOCATION – Kirtland Grayling, 4800 W 4 Mile Road, Grayling, MI 49738
SUPERVISION – Works under the general supervision of the Dean of Occupational Programs.
- AAS Mechatronics or AAS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Apprenticeship or Journeyman license as Master Electrician or Machine Repair or Millwright
- Electrician License
- Professional experience related to course content as evidenced by portfolio review.
- Teaching experience preferred
COMPENSATION – This position is paid at $39.53 per contact hour for instructors with an Associate’s degree or less and is contracted through EDUStaff. Rate of pay is determined by the applicant’s degree. Click here for the complete EDUStaff part-time pay schedule.
