Kirtland’s Community Education department is bringing back the well-received Introduction to Wine Making on Saturday, Jun. 13 from 12-3 p.m. in the Art Department building on the main campus in Roscommon.
Local wine makers Marcell Romancky and Marianne Kuzimski bring a home wine making course back to Kirtland on Jun. 13.
Veteran Kirtland instructor Marcell Romancky (St.Helen) and local winemaker Marianne Kuzimski (Houghton Lake) will team up to present a new course on wine production and explore facets of home wine making.
In Introduction to Wine Making, you will work with wine makers who are well versed in fruit and kit wines. You will also learn about what type of equipment is needed, chemicals used, how to put together the recipe needed for fermentation, proper sanitation and acceptable bottling techniques. Upon completion of the course, participants will sample the finished product.
You must be 21 years of age or older to participate in this course. The course fee is $36 and includes two wine making booklets, web resource information and wine samples.
