Lepper appointed new Director of the Kirtland Foundation
ROSCOMMON, MI – David Lepper of Houghton Lake has been appointed the new Director of the Kirtland Foundation at Kirtland Community College.
Lepper attended Kirtland Community College after graduating from Houghton Lake High School in 1970 and then went on to get his B.A. at Central Michigan University.
With forty years of fundraising experience, he has managed multi-million dollar campaigns for organizations such as the United Way for Southeastern Michigan, Karmanos Cancer Institute, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Focus: HOPE, The Jefferson Foundation in Philadelphia, and Ferris State University.
Coming back to Houghton Lake and to work at Kirtland Community College is like coming home to David in many ways. To help the college that gave him his start and to raise funds to recruit and support students, like himself, to get successful jobs and careers is what Kirtland is all about.
“The opportunities for students at Kirtland are there – they just need to get the financial aid and support to help them with the costs so many students are facing these days to attend college,” stated Lepper. “We don’t want funding issues to be a hindrance to fulfilling students’ dreams and that’s why the Kirtland Foundation is raising more funding for scholarships.”
The Kirtland Foundation is an independent 501 © (3), nonprofit organization, existing to serve the college, its students and its communities.
