When is it?

August 12, 13, 14 on campus, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

What will you do?

Students who enroll will be attending courses and learning skills to help them get ready to start college. Both in person and online.

What do you get?

Everyone who completes the program is awarded:

A $20 gas card every day, meals and supplies
Additional daily prizes & awards
Those who complete and attend Kirtland for Fall 2025:
- Can earn extra prizes during the event
- Will be entered to win large prizes like a laptop computer

Kickstart F.A.Q’s

No, all activities are free. Students will be supplied with everything they need to complete the course. Including a device for assignments.

Kirtland’s Kickstart program is designed to help students get a leg-up on the new school year.

It will allow students to become familiar with the campus, connect with support services, ensure help with the financial aid process, get extra instruction for English and math, and award students with needed materials and supplies.

Any student who is new to college in the Fall of 2025 and has earned a high school diploma or GED.

Yes.

Yes. Students who complete the program will receive meals and a $20 gas card for every day they are on Campus as well as a backpack with school supplies and a chance to win additional prizes.

No. Students can pursue any degree or certificate.

No.

For students to receive awards, students will have to complete the entire program. This is a three day event, all in-person.

No. A completed registration form is all that is required. Support from school staff is encouraged to help students to register and to commit to completion.

There is no college-level credit awarded. Courses will not be listed on a student’s Kirtland transcript.

The English and Math course components are for support and orientation only, they will not be calculated into a student’s college GPA and will not affect college course placement.
