Party Favors PAPER CRAFTS! Party favors are more than just a parting gift—they’re a small piece of the celebration, a memory in a box. In this class, we’re going to dive into the joy of making something personal and unique. Forget generic, store-bought trinkets! We’ll transform simple materials into delightful keepsakes that your guests will want to keep.
When: Join us Tuesday, January 15 from 1-3 p.m.
Where: Kirtland Community College, Grayling, Enter through Main Entrance
Learning Level for this class: Beginner; Ages 13 and up
What you will learn in this class:
Mastering essential tools: You’ll get hands-on experience using a paper trimmer, corner rounder, and circle punch.
The art of adhesion: Discover the right craft glue for every project and how to use it effectively.
Paper power: Explore different types of cardstock and learn which ones are best for your crafting needs.
Design: Explore fun techniques, vibrant papers, and decorative embellishments that will make your memories pop off the page.
Scoring / Folding: Practice scoring and folding – it is a game-changer. It allows for crisp, professional-looking folds that give your favor a sharp, finished appearance.
Problem-Solving: Things don’t always go perfectly! Let’s practice on adapting and fixing mistakes. We will practice and learn to problem-solve on the fly and adjust our technique – it is an essential part of the creative process.
What you’ll complete by the end of the class: 1-3 favors
Supplies that are provided:
Paper trimmer; corner rounder; circle punch; craft scissors; self-healing craft mat and ruler; scoring tool and stylus tool; burnishing (bone folder) tool

What you can bring from home:
Inspirational family / travel / friend pictures; ribbon, lace, twine, stretchy cord, cotton yarn or fancy fuzzy multi colored fibers; washi tape; dainty chains, dainty baubles, small jewels (smaller than pinky fingernail for example – in order to be proportional to finished folio)
