Fall and Summer Registration Opens at Kirtland
Registration for summer and fall courses is now underway at Kirtland Community College. Future or current Kirtland students should act quickly to reserve their seats. Courses may fill early now that campus activities have resumed regular operations following the disruptions caused by COVID-19. The College’s campuses are conveniently located in Grayling right off of I-75 and in Gaylord.
“We want to make sure that students register for the courses that best fit their plans and needs,” says Michelle Vyskocil, Vice President of Student Services at Kirtland. “Our goal is to save our students time and money as they pursue their future plans, regardless of what those plans are. So, the more time we have to advise students, the better.”
Kirtland Community College’s new Grayling Campus features state-of-the-art facilities, learning commons, and technology. It provides students and community members extraordinary meeting and learning access.
Students at Kirtland aren’t one-size-fits all. The College welcomes full time students straight from high school as well as adult learners looking to change their career trajectories. With programs that can be completed in one or two years and less, the College quickly prepares its students for advanced work and pay or for successful transfer to four-year universities.
For college students who attend another institution, Kirtland’s online and summer offerings provide options to complete required coursework at about one-half of what they would pay otherwise.
“At our core, Kirtland is about creating opportunity for our communities,” explains Tom Quinn, Kirtland President. “We work hard to match our programs, facilities, and offerings to what our community employers need, and what our future and current students deserve.”
For over 50 years, Kirtland has served its communities with quality programs in skilled trades, healthcare, transfer, and other professional careers. Class sizes are small and instructors really care about their work and their students, so even though students save on their tuition, they won’t sacrifice quality.
A Kirtland education is more affordable now than ever–the College has grown its scholarship offerings to nearly 100, and through Michigan Reconnect, people over 24 years old who live in Kirtland’s service area may be eligible to attend tuition-free.
