Kirtland Set to Host COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Clinic

GRAYLING, Michigan (Sept. 23, 2022) – Kirtland Community College, along with District Health Department (DHD) 10, will be hosting a COVID-19 and Flu vaccination clinic Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m.– 2 p.m.

“The Wellness Committee at Kirtland is excited to partner with DHD 10 to offer Influenza vaccinations and a variety of COVID-19 vaccinations, including the new Bivalent booster, to our staff, students, and community members,” said Kirtland’s Director of Human Resources Vanessa Noffsinger.

The walk-in clinic will be hosted at Kirtland’s campus located at 4800 West 4 Mile Road, Grayling and be open to not only staff members and students, but also the public. Brands of COVID-19 vaccinations being offered by DHD 10 include Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax, and Johnson and Johnson. All COVID-19 vaccinations will be free for all participants. 

“Kirtland is at the crossroads both geographically and educationally. We are very happy to be providing this clinic to our surrounding community,” Kirtland President Thomas Quinn. “Kirtland’s middle name is ‘community’ and we always are looking to be involved more with the community.”

Flu vaccinations will also be available with most insurances covering the cost of vaccination. Standard doses will be available for purchase at $37 and high-dosage and preservative-free vaccination doses at $46. Kirtland will assist with the cost of flu vaccination for any uninsured, current Kirtland staff member and student.

“We know that everyone’s lives are busy and feel it’s important to offer a quick and convenient location. We are thankful to DHD 10 for their continued commitment to wellness in our community and for agreeing to join us at Kirtland for this event,” said Noffsinger.
