New Kirtland Foundation Nursing Scholarship
The Catherine I. Barratt/Bloomquist Memorial Endowed Nursing Scholarship
The Catherine I. Barratt/Bloomquist Memorial Endowed Nursing Scholarship was established by a generous donation provided by Terrence and Charlotte Bloomquist in memory of Catherine I. Barratt/Bloomquist who was a Grayling resident and nurse at Grayling Mercy Hospital. She is the loving mother of Michael Bloomquist and Laura Bloomquist McMaster.
“The Bloomquist family and the Kirtland Foundation are excited to honor Catherine’s legacy and to help local nursing students pursue careers in Northern Michigan,” Charlotte said.
Terrence and Charlotte Bloomquist both have long standing relationships with Crawford County and specifically the City of Grayling. Terrence has been a resident of Grayling since 1973 and a practicing attorney in the community serving the needs of clients in and out of the courtroom. He has also been deeply involved in local community affairs.
Charlotte has been a resident of Grayling for many years, working and volunteering in the community in many different venues: substitute teacher, Girl Scout leader, Committee Member-Fish Hatchery, AuSable Artisan Gallery, GRACE Center, Christian Help Center Food Pantry and for many years’ owner/operator of a small boutique deli/wine shop, known as The Bloomin’ Grape.Learn more about the Catherine I.
