In our Business and Entrepreneurship program, you’ll gain skills in leadership, financial management, marketing, and business operations. You’ll also learn how to identify opportunities, launch ventures, and navigate entrepreneurship challenges. By the end of the program, you’ll be equipped to manage businesses or start your own entrepreneurial journey.

Our Business and Entrepreneurship program includes:

  • Business Management (AAS)
  • Accounting Clerk Specialist (CC)
  • Business Office Specialist (CC)
  • Entrepreneurship (CC)

Business Management offers opportunities for leadership, strategic decision-making, and organizational success. As a business manager, you’ll oversee operations, manage teams, and optimize processes. This profession provides job stability, career advancement, and a broad skill set in leadership, financial management, and communication, applicable across various industries.

Business Office Specialist is a career centered around organization and fast-paced environments. You’ll manage administrative tasks like office operations, scheduling, and record-keeping. Business Management, AAS

At the end of the program students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to identify and perform common duties within the span of business management including; business controls, diversity, human resource, decision making processes, and delegation.
  • Apply basic business strategic knowledge and demonstrate the use to assess common business problems and formulate effective and measurable solutions.
  • Compose diverse forms of communications and interact professionally in business and education environments.
  • Demonstrate ethical leadership and proficiency in analyzing, organizing and executing business strategy.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess information without personal bias and work in a team environment to assess a plan in a strategic and non-competitive manner.

Accounting Clerk Specialist, CC

At the end of the program students will be able to:

  • Apply accounting standards such as generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and appropriate managerial accounting systems.
  • Compose diverse forms of communications and interact professionally in business and education environments.
  • Demonstrate ethical decision-making proficiency and execution of tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow guided direction and work within a group of diverse stakeholders in a non-competitive manner.

Business Office Specialist, CC

At the end of the program students will be able to:

  • Pass the tests for MOS Certifications. (pass Microsoft Classes with C or higher to ensure preparedness for exams.)
  • Compose diverse forms of communications and interact professionally in business and education environments.
  • Demonstrate ethical decision making and proficiency in analyzing, organizing and executing business tasks at the highest level of ethics.
  • Demonstrate the ability to followed guided direction and work within a group of diverse stakeholders in a non-competitive manner.

Entrepreneurship, CC

At the end of the program students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the flexibility of a growth mindset to change and grow personal perspectives to attain goals.
  • Demonstrate ethical decision-making proficiency and execution of tasks.
  • Apply basic business strategic knowledge and demonstrate the use to assess common business problems and formulate effective and measurable solutions.
  • Compose diverse forms of communications and interact professionally in business and education environments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess information without personal bias and work in a team environment to assess a plan in a strategic and non-competitive manner.

State licensing or Industry Certification is not required for employment in this occupational area but it may be available and useful to strengthen a student’s application for positions. Our programs provide opportunity to acquire Quickbooks and Microsoft certifications that will make you a top candidate. Please see a faculty member for more information about certifications.
