Nursing Assistant

In our  Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, you will learn how to provide basic patient care and support in healthcare settings. You’ll develop skills in taking vital signs, assisting with daily activities, maintaining patient hygiene, and communicating with patients and medical staff. The program also teaches safety procedures, infection control, and compassionate caregiving to support patient well-being.

A Nursing Assistant is a healthcare professional who provides essential care and support to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare settings. CNAs assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility while monitoring vital signs and reporting changes in patient conditions to nurses and medical staff. Their role is vital in ensuring patients are comfortable, safe, and receiving attentive care.

Choosing to become a Nursing Assistant offers a meaningful opportunity to help others while beginning a career in healthcare. CNAs are in high demand, providing job stability and opportunities to gain hands-on medical experience. Many individuals use the CNA role as a starting point for advancing into other healthcare careers such as nursing or medical assisting.

  • High demand for CNAs in hospitals and long-term care facilities
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on patient comfort and well-being
  • Strong foundation for advancing into other healthcare careers
  • Job stability with flexible work environments

Becoming a Nursing Assistant is a rewarding career that allows you to support patients directly while building valuable experience in the healthcare field.

What’s distinctive about our Nursing Assistant course?

  • Fast-track training – Complete the program in just a few weeks and quickly begin a career in healthcare.
  • Hands-on learning – Gain real experience through classroom instruction, lab practice, and clinical training in local healthcare facilities.
  • Certification preparation – Receive the training needed to take the Michigan CNA certification exam.
  • Local career connections – Build relationships with regional healthcare employers and potential job opportunities.
