Nursing Assistant

In our Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, you will learn how to provide basic patient care and support in healthcare settings. Kirtland Community College’s Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is designed to prepare students for immediate employment in healthcare settings by meeting all Michigan licensing and competency requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation, a required step for placement on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry and employment in long-term care facilities. The curriculum integrates classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience to ensure graduates are fully prepared to demonstrate both knowledge and essential caregiving skills in real-world environments.
