
Kirtland Community College Announces Senior Summit ‘25: An Evening Dedicated to College Prep for Local High School Seniors
Kirtland Community College is excited to announce Senior Summit ’25, a highly anticipated event that will provide local high school seniors with valuable resources as they transition to college life. Set to take place on October 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kirtland’s Grayling campus; Senior Summit ’25 will offer students from the graduating class of 2025 a unique opportunity to explore the college and its programs through personalized tours, interactive presentations, and in-depth guidance on the college application process.
“Kirtland is thrilled to host Senior Summit ’25, an exciting opportunity for local high school seniors to gain invaluable resources as they prepare for college life. This event will provide the Class of 2025 with personalized tours, interactive presentations, and expert guidance on the college application process, all designed to help them confidently take the next step in their academic journey” said Kirtland’s Vice President of Student Services Michelle Vyskocil.
The Senior Summit event is designed to empower students by introducing them to the resources, faculty, and programs available at Kirtland. In addition to touring the campus, attendees will participate in various presentations from faculty and staff. These presentations will cover a wide range of topics, from academics to student life, ensuring that students leave with a comprehensive understanding of what it’s like to attend Kirtland.
Understanding that the college application process can often feel overwhelming, Kirtland’s admissions and financial aid staff will also be available to offer one-on-one assistance with applications, financial aid forms, and scholarship opportunities.
Senior Summit ‘25 Highlights:
- Presentation from MI Student Aid, Understanding the Community College Guarantee
- 2) Presentation on understanding the Michigan Transfer Agreement
- 3) Professionals from Financial Aid and The Kirtland Foundation are available to answer money, aid and scholarship questions
- 4) There will be Faculty Round Tables for course discussions
- 5) Ability to meet with Esports & Athletic Coaches
“Senior Summit is a great opportunity for students and their families to get a feel for Kirtland. They can meet faculty, staff and financial services staff. The best way to see if a college is a good fit is to visit. This is the perfect time to visit and students will get food, prizes and a great T-shirt,” said Kirtland Admissions Coordinator Cesalee Kuffel.
This free event, designed with the future class of 2025 in mind, is the perfect opportunity for students and families to learn more about Kirtland’s offerings while receiving personalized support throughout the college application process.
