Matthew Rice

Director of Communications and Marketing

Matthew Rice, a native of North Manchester, Indiana, is an experienced communications and marketing professional with over 10 years of expertise in strategic messaging, brand development, and public engagement. In September 2022, Matt joined Kirtland Community College as its new Director of Communications and Marketing, where he leads initiatives to enhance the college’s visibility, strengthen community connections, and support institutional growth. Before his role at Kirtland, Matthew served as a communications and marketing specialist for the United States Navy and as a private marketing consultant.

Matthew holds a B.A. in Media Production and Communication, as well as a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Olivet. He is currently pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Purdue University and anticipates completion in May 2027.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Matthew enjoys spending weekends on the golf course, following Formula One racing, spending time with his corgi, Echo, and enthusiastically cheering for all things Purdue University.
