Manage your Account Recovery and MFA Settings
You can manage both your Password Account Recovery and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) options from one page. The multiple options on the page are:
Three Password Recovery options are available if you need to reset your password. Please note this information is also used for Multi-Factor Authentication.

- Phone Recovery
There are four MFA options available to use for Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Email Recovery
- Phone Recovery
- YubiKey Recovery
- Authenticator
 Visit My Account Recovery Settings (https://password.quicklaunch.io/user?tenantDomain=kirtland.edu)
Enter your Kirtland Single Sign On Username, and Password and click Sign in.
Click the tab you would like to update the settings of your choice.Â
- Security Questions – When this option is used for Password Recovery, you will need to answer two of the four questions.
- Update existing answers or choose new questions and answers, and then click Submit.
- When completed you will receive an on-screen message, You have successfully saved your changes.
- Email Recovery – When this option is used for Password Recovery or Multi-Factor Authentication, an email will be sent to the email addresses listed.
- To update the Email address, click Update, enter a new personal address for Verify your email address, and click Validate.A verification code will be sent to the email address you entered. You will have 60 seconds to retrieve the code. After 60 seconds, you will need to click the link Resend security code to receive a new code.Enter the verification code and click Submit.When completed you will receive an on-screen message, Email address saved successfully.
- Phone Recovery – When this option is used for Password Recovery or Multi-Factor Authentication, a text message will be sent to the mobile phone listed. (messaging rates may apply)
- Click Update, Select Country, enter your cell phone number, and click Verify.
- A verification code will be sent to your cell phone. You will have 60 seconds to retrieve the code. After 60 seconds, you will need to click the link Resend security code to receive a new code.
- Enter the verification code and click Submit
- When completed you will receive an on-screen message, Phone number saved successfully.
- Authenticator – This option is only used as an additional choice for Multi-Factor Authentication. An application runs on your device that generates a time-sensitive code that is entered into the site. Click Authenticator tab and click Next. You can use any MFA generation app, Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator are listed below for convenience.
- Download Google Authenticator.
- Download Microsoft Authenticator
- Launch Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your device and Begin Setup.
Click on the Authenticator tab on the web page and select Get Started.
Scan the barcode or enter the code manually into the Authenticator app and click Next on the web webpage.
Enter the authenticator code from the Authenticator app on the webpage and click the Register Authenticator button.
When completed you will receive an on-screen message that the Authenticator app is registered successfully.
YubiKey Recovery – This option is only used as an additional choice for Multi-Factor Authentication. A YubiKey is a small hardware device with an in-built unique code that provides the second factor in Multi-Factor Authentication. If the other methods of MFA are not acceptable, please contact [email protected] for more information and setup of YubiKey authentication.
Once you complete all of your updates click the User icon in the top right corner and pick Logout.
