Kirtland Foundation Announces Fall 2024 Semester Scholarship Recipients

The Kirtland Foundation is proud to announce 76 scholarship recipients for the Fall 2024 semester, totaling $50,880 in disbursed awards. Thanks to the support of all of our donors, we are able to continue awarding scholarships to students for years to come.

“The Kirtland Foundation Board is an amazing organization that assists students with the financial resources they need to obtain a higher education.  I am grateful that for the last few years I have been able to participate in the review of the scholarship applications and learn the circumstances that have led these students to choose Kirtland Community College to further or start their careers,” said Kirtland Foundation Board Member Jessica Ferrigan. “As an employer in the area, we are always looking for graduates to fill our openings.  The credentials these students obtain with these scholarships will lead them to very successful careers in the future and I am happy to assist with this process.”

The Kirtland Foundation provides financial assistance to students through its annual scholarships and endowed funds, aimed at addressing the economic challenges faced in pursuing higher education. These scholarships are designed to support academic aspirations and foster individual success. Awards are made in accordance with criteria specified by donors, which often include personal essays detailing applicants’ life experiences, educational and career goals, and community involvement. Letters of recommendation also play a pivotal role in the decision-making process of the scholarship committee.

“When I was awarded this scholarship, I began researching the familiar sounding name and found out about the amazing Rotary International that provides help worldwide for many causes,” said Cole Marsh, Paul Harris Endowed Scholarship awardee. “This scholarship will help me accurately complete my Associate’s Degree in Science and Arts, Business Administration and Accounting. I am honored to be awarded this scholarship and will work my hardest to make my educational goals a reality.”
