POL 4.025 Curriculum Revision
Any addition or deletion of a degree program shall be considered a “major curriculum revision”. All major revisions will be reviewed by the curriculum and instruction committee (CIC), which shall make recommendations to the Chief Academic Officer. The CAO will review the CIC’s recommendations and, in turn, give his/her recommendation to the President. The President shall, in turn, present his/her recommendations to the board, along with any other options he/she deems appropriate. All major curriculum revisions shall require board approval.
Any changes in course prerequisites, credit/contact hours, program requirements, course titles, and course descriptions shall be considered “minor curriculum revisions”. All minor curriculum revisions will be reviewed by the CIC, which shall make recommendations to the CAO, who shall have final approval over proposed minor curriculum revisions. He/she will keep the President informed about minor revisions.
