About Automotive Technology at Kirtland

Luke Blanchett
Automotive Technology Program Graduate
I have definitely learned a lot during my time at Kirtland, more than what I would have learned just going into working in the auto field.
I work at a dealership as I am working on my degree and all of my classes have helped me a lot. It has given me a leg up over the people I work with who are where I am at in the field.
If you are serious about getting into the auto mechanic field then you should go through the Automotive Technology program at Kirtland. The classes you take will give you the foundation you need and put you a step or two ahead.

Bob Oakes
Automotive Technology Program Director/Instructor
I’m a graduate of Kirtland’s automotive program, I’ve worked in industry for over 20 years and have been working at Kirtland since 2006.
All of our instructors are graduates of the program and work in the industry. It is very fulfilling to be able to give back to the community and the automotive program to help train future auto industry professionals.
We have a beautiful, high-end lab that has been completely renovated recently – and I mean completely. When we have industry pros from Chrysler and Ford using our labs for employee training, they are blown away by the equipment and technology we’re using in our labs.
Everyone needs a car, but not everyone has the skills to keep them running. At Kirtland, we make sure our students are set up for success.
