Kirtland Community College is the largest community college in the state of Michigan demographically, totaling 2,500 square miles. Our convenient location in Gaylord serves students in Otsego County, as well as several surrounding counties including Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet Kalkaska, Montmorency and Oscoda. Kirtland’s Gaylord extension site is fifty-five minute drive from our central campus near Roscommon.
Associate Degrees and Certificate Programs
Whether you are looking at a certificate program or an associate degree, Kirtland’s large selection of educational offerings are designed to meet the changing needs of business and industry while preparing students for career and personal success. Plus, Kirtland’s in-district tuition rates are the lowest in the region – approximately 1/3 the cost of attending a four-year school!
Students will find Kirtland’s Gaylord location offers in-depth educational opportunities to enhance or upgrade your existing skills, allowing you to enter or re-enter the work force more quickly. Our relevant curriculum keeps pace with industry trends so students are well prepared t be successful in today’s workforce, and our curriculum is delivered in classrooms and labs outfitted with the newest trends in technology and instruction. Associate Degrees:
Two-year applied science degrees are designed to prepare students for entry into the workforce
- Cardiac Sonography
- Electrical Technology
- HVAC/R
- Mechatronics Facility Technician
- Mechatronics Industrial Technician
- Welding and Fabricating
Certificates:
Upon completion of a certificate, students can continue on and pursue a two-year applied science degree.
One-course Certificates:
Upon completion of the course, students can take a state certification examination.
