STEP DETAILS
Step 1
Initiate your student account
Your Student ID number and KMail email address will be sent to you in an email from the Kirtland Admissions Office. Please go to the Kirtland website (www.kirtland.edu), hover over (or tap on if on mobile) the Sign In link in the main menu and select Activate Account, and then select the First Time User link. Enter your KMail address where prompted for an email. Continue the activation process until complete and you have set up your password and security questions. If you need assistance with this step, please call 989-275-5000, ext. 499.
Step 2
Dual Enrollment/Concurrent Enrollment Form
Meet with your high school counselor to get your dual/concurrent enrollment form filled out. The form MUST be signed by you, your parent/legal guardian (if you’re under the age of 18), and your high school counselor or principal. This form must be turned in to your high school counselor. This form must be signed by your high school counselor or principal even if the high school is not paying for the course.
Step 3
Register for classes
Please visit our key academic dates page for registration dates. Once your dual/concurrent enrollment form is completed to its entirety (step #4) and submitted, your pre-college coordinator will register you for classes.
Step 4
Purchase books
Before purchasing books, check with your high school counselor for your school policy on purchasing books. Then visit the Kirtland Campus Store and the online Bookstore.
Step 5
Introduction to Canvas
After you have been registered in a class, you’ll need to complete the required Introduction to Canvas course. An invitation to take this mandatory online course will be sent to your KMail account once you are registered for your first class(es). You will be given a deadline to complete the course and it will take about 3 hours.
Step 6
