The Library and COVID-19
Even though the Kirtland Library is not open due to the Governor’s Stay-At-Home Executive Order, librarians and tutors are still providing current students and staff with services. We are available online. Check out the Library’s COVID-19 LibGuide to see what is available.
RETURNING LIBRARY MATERIALS
Kirtland students and the general public can now return materials that were due during the Winter 2020 semester. Scheduled days and times are listed below. After arriving on the Grayling campus, call the library at 989-275-5000, ext. 246 to let staff know you are here. A tote will be placed at the front entrance for you to place your returned item(s) in.
Please note that you will not be able to come into the building.
- Tuesdays 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Assignments got you down? Stressed out with the thought of searching? Your assignments will be easier when you take advantage of the mix of traditional and 21st Century resources at Kirtland’s library. The world’s resources are available at your fingertips in the library or online. You’ll have plenty of support when you are searching for resources because Kirtland’s library staff members are available by phone, e-mail or in person. The library’s relaxing environment offers:
- study rooms (perfect for your small study group)
- a computer lab (we’re here if you need us)
- comfy chairs and couches (so you’ll feel at home)
Kirtland also makes it easy for you to keep track of what resources you have checked out and when they’re due and put books on hold, via the library’s Bookbag service online. Visit the library and ask staff to set up your account. The Kirtland library staff even will mail books to online students! You will need to sign in to access the link to the Library Card Application. You’ll discover you’re a confident student with a “can do” attitude when you take advantage of the Kirtland library’s abundant resources.
